KU Leuven is proud to announce that the 13th International Workshop on Railway Noise IWRN13 will be held from 16 until 20 September 2019 in Ghent, Belgium. The International Workshop on Railway Noise (IWRN) offers a unique forum for meeting and interacting with international experts in the field of railway noise and vibration. The first workshop was held in 1976 in Derby, United Kingdom. The latest workshop was held in 2016 in Terrigal, Australia, with more than 120 participants. The IWRN13 workshop will be held in the NH Ghent Belfort Hotel, in the historical city of Ghent. This venue has been carefully selected aiming to continue a successful tradition of a single workshop-style session with plenary oral and poster presentations. All lunches will be provided in the restaurant area of the hotel, while three dinners will be organized on nearby locations. This particular format aims at enhancing discussions and vivid exchange of experience and viewpoints among participants. Further information on IWRN13 is posted on www.iwrn13.org. Inquiries about the workshop can be sent to iwrn13@kuleuven.be. The call for abstracts will be launched early June 2018. The IWRN13 International Committee seeks original papers on all subjects relating to railway noise and vibration.
