Development of a modelling framework to address the impacts caused by the introduction of new technology in rail operations, specifically the impact on areas of track worker competence. Implementing this model will inform forward planning within rail operators, improving efficiency and safety. Includes provision of a detailed structure upon which a training needs analysis for track workers can be evaluated, benchmarked and updated. Complementary to parallel ACRI research developing a holistic model for rail organisation adaptation to the introduction of new technology at individual and sub-organisational levels.
